Cynthia P. Ochal, CFP®

Cynthia brings more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry to her clients. She joined Cascade in 2005 as an independent adviser, and shortly thereafter opened her own office in Tampa, FL. She works with individuals and families to plan for their most important financial goals. Prior to opening her own office, she worked at a financial planning firm in Clearwater, FL, starting as an associate and working her way up to partner.

Cynthia graduated from The University of South Florida in Tampa, where she still remains active in the community. She is involved in several different volunteer organizations. Most recently, she served as Vice-Chair for Florida Blood Services Foundation as well as the Marketing Committee Chair. She is also currently involved with the Chiefs Group at MacDill AFB, volunteering and working with them to plan their annual golf tournament. She teaches a women’s financial planning class several times a year, and has presented at several local women’s group speaking engagements. Cynthia enjoys being involved in the community and has volunteered for many charities and organizations in Tampa Bay.

In addition, she enjoys spending time with her son, Trey, watching him have fun while playing baseball, boating, fishing and traveling.

Individuals or couples seeking a client-centered approach to financial planning and goal setting, problem solving, and ongoing reviews for goal attainment. We also serve people going through a transition, such as retirement, inheritance, settlement, marriage, divorce, death, change of occupation, or sale of a business. Clients enjoy working with Cascade on a fee-for-service basis for planning and asset management. The fees are outlined in the Registered Investment Advisory Contract, and are very reasonable for the services provided.

What are Cynthia’s credentials?

Cynthia majored in finance and graduated from the University of South Florida in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Business Administration. She obtained her Certified Financial Planning designation (CFP®) in 1998. She has worked in financial services since graduating, and was a partner in a firm in Clearwater before opening her own branch of Cascade in Tampa in 2006.

Angie Brown

Angie works as Cynthia Ochal’s Assistant. She is very detail-oriented, and assists with all aspects of the business, including data entry, marketing, event planning, client process development and documentation, asset reporting and follow up.
